11月10日 Houses SchmousesTony (our fabulous broker) came round tonight and told us we can afford the house of our dreams!!
We've already got a 1/2 acre block of land (2000m2) and it's so pretty. Big enough to build a monster house with room for a pool and landscaping.. and a little to spare! The plans we're considering at the moment include a Clarendon Homes one from the Savannah range - the biggest one (http://www.clarendonhomes.com.au/ and click on Queensland), a bit of a plan from Plantation Homes (the Majestic) and an American one we stumbled over on houseplans.com. The features are pretty massive which are pretty important to us as we plan to do a bit of entertaining (ie big staircase, theatre room, gourmet kitchen, killer wardrobe in master, large outdoor entertaining area). And what with considering children in the next 12 - 18 months... we're gonna need all the room we can get!
And now that we've done our budget for the next few months, if anyone wants to take us out to dinner or movies - your treat! (Gosh I'm going to feel like a poor uni student again!)
On another note - Aunty Patty, Brittany and Ryan fly up to us this time next week!! Pretty close actually because they land around 10pm.. so we'd be leaving the house right about now (9pm). I love thinking about that sort of stuff. Like when we were little, I used to think... "The day after tomorrow is the day before Christmas Eve!" etc... Crazy I know.
